37 Weeks!!

I am very happy to say that tomorrow we will be 37 weeks!!! That means we are considered "full term"!!! I am so happy to know she is still growing strong and healthy and Lord willing, not need extra help or NICU care after she comes!!

I am having contractions throughout the day and a pretty good bit at night, so not fun! I never had them like this with Trey. I had the ones at the top of my tummy but never the WHOLE thing. I understand what women mean when they say they can't help but to push. It makes them not as uncomfortable.

We had a scare Wednesday night. All day long Katie did not move much and what she did move was very faint. Then after church that night I couldn't get her to move AT ALL!! Talking about SCARY! So about 10:00 pm I headed to the hospital. It took the nurse a really long time to find her heartbeat!! I would have been even more scared but the nurse pushed my tummy so hard one time that Katie moved so we knew she was "OK". We could hear her slight movements on the heartbeat monitor so that made me a little more less stressed. She finally got her heartbeat and could only find it in the one spot the whole night. She had good accelerations so the nurse and Dr. were comfortable with her well being. Her heartbeat was staying around 111-115 which is below the comfort level but they said she is so big, has no room and can't really do much to get her heart rate up much.

We go in on Monday for our weekly check-up. One thing we have to keep up with is her fluid, since she is taking up so much space it could start to run low. I can't wait to see how big he thinks she is. Last week he said at least 9 lbs. I can't imagine how big she/I will be if we do make it 13 more days to our Dec 3rd scheduled date!!!!

Tomorrow is my last day doing nursery work and I am sad about it! I had planned to work right up the Wednesday before she comes but I can't make it. I am exhausted and very uncomfortable. What energy I do have is spent on taking care of and playing with Trey, grocery shopping, a little bit of house work and not much else.

This pregnancy has flown by when I look at the big picture but now the days are really seeming to drag by. I am so excited to know that very soon though, I will be holding my sweet girl in my arms and kissing her beautiful face. We are so thankful to our amazing God who so graciously blessed us with this "impossible" dream. God is so good!
