Addie

Didn't I tell you that Addie was too cute. This is her after I did her make-up! :) This is a ritual every time she comes over. We always HAVE TO DO MAKE-UP!!! She also did mine and I looked like I had a retched sunburn! When her Mama & Daddy came to pick her up they were very shocked to see their little princess looking so "interesting"! :) We had a wonderful time as always! I love my Princess Addie-Belle!!!

Princess Addie-Belle

I don't want to get into to the nitty gritty but this has been a "not so good " week for our family. Please be praying for us.

It is Friday and I feel tired from VBS but I am so excited to be able to enjoy the weekend with my husband, son and until tomorrow my niece, Addie!

Addie was dropped off to us by her Pa Bert and Grandma Shirley around 4:00 today. Words can not express how funny and totally adorable she is!

The first thing she asks me is "who is the boss gonna be?", I then tell her "me for the time being". To put this in perspective she loves to make sure everyone knows who is in control. Ex. in Florida she told me "My Mommy is the boss over you Ah-Ah!" "Yep, you're right Addie-Belle" I say. Then tonight she told me "I can only eat as many Cheerios as Trey says is OK because he is the boss over them." I tell her "yea, I recon you're right, they are his Cheerios". So needless to say she got about 5 out of the deal, cause they were all gone after that.

I can totally tell she is exhausted after a fun and exciting time with Pa-Bert, Grandma Shirley and the gang! She and Trey were in the tub and she was playing with him by putting bubbles on his face. As she was doing this, he was trying to make her stop, so he was trying to push her hand. In doing so, he accidentally scratched her face and she went to bawling!!! Bawling like her whole face had been severed off! Then when I told her we could watch some of Cinderella before she went to sleep she was over it like that! (picture my fingers snapping) Now I am here to tell you, this girl is tough as nails! She will wear her pink, swirly, fluffy dresses everywhere (and I do mean everywhere) but she can get down and dirty with the best of them!

I love my Addie-Belle and can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!!!!!

A good Swim

This morning Trey and I went to my friend Dawn's house to meet up and go to her neighborhood pool! We got to the pool about 10ish and stayed till the storm kicked us out at 12:00. The rain began just as we were loading the last pieces of kid items.

We had a wonderful time! Trey and I swam until he got just too hungry. Then he at 2 squares of graham crackers to tide him over until we got home. Crazy part is, when we got home he didn't want much. He ate about 4 chicken & carrot raviolis and was done. So I guess he wasn't that hungry after all, just tired. He's sleeping now :)

Forever...

Here is a good question...

Why does it take me forever to write thank you notes? I started them last week when we came home from Florida.

I tell you, I get started, get 2-3 done then I am up running to do something else. I can not keep my mind focused long enough. I always think of something else I need to do and go do that so I don't forget later.

I have decided, I need to put a piece of paper beside me so I can jot the "thoughts" down so I can think/do the thing later.

Undoubtedly, this SHOULD remedy my situation!

The road to the doctor...

... is getting beat down hard by us! We went yet again for Trey. He was running 101.3 fever and up SO MUCH last night! His ears are getting better but his nose is getting worse. Both sides are so swollen and almost completely shut! He is to start taking Zertec (spelling) every night to see if it will help! I hope so! Also, he MAY have the hand, foot and mouth thing. He has bumps all over his body. We are to watch and see what happens with that. But he could be one of the 10% that has issues with the Chicken Pox shot he got last Tuesday. We will see. All we can do is wait it out.

Music Man

My Sunshine has become such a music man. He hears songs and will begin to bob up and down and clap his hands. Most of you know that mine & Jerry's song is Al Green's "Let's Stay Together", so it is my ringer for when Jerry calls. Jerry called to let me know he was on his way home and when the music started, Trey was dancing, clapping and smiling the biggest smile!

I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!!!!

Getting Ready

It isVBS time!!!!! Next week Shandon is doing Cactus Canyon! How much fun is that?!?!?!?! I can't wait!
I also get to keep Mel's son, Austin, all week!!!!! WOO HOO!!! We are gonna have an awesome time.
Trey & I went out this morning with Mel and Austin to look for after school care for him for the fall. They are on their way now to the beach until Sunday :( Sad!!!
Now we are fixin to go to Laura's for some chat & coffee. What a fun day!

3 Month Ultrasound Update

Trey had his 3 month ultrasound yesterday and the nurse just called and said that all is well.

For those of you who don't know or don't understand the point of this I can explain some.

When Trey was a bit younger we noticed that his left side was larger all the way from his cheek to his feet. Left cheek chubbier, shirt sleeves were tighter, pant legs shorter etc. When we asked the doctor about it he told us that Trey has hemihypertrophy. No one knows why this happens to a child and there is no "cure" for it. Another thing that goes along with this condition is Wilm's Tumors. They can form on the liver and/or kidneys and are cancerous. So, every three months until the ripe ol' age of 10, Trey will be visiting the nice ladies at Image Care on Rabon Road for ultrasounds on his abdomen.

1 Year Doctor Appt.

Today was Trey's 1 year doctor's appointment. There are certain things you expect to hear. For example: "he can now drink whole milk, no more formula, car seat forward, he can eat anything that is not a choking hazard" etc...

You don't expect to hear "He needs surgery"!!!!!!!

Which is what we heard. Sadly he has gotten yet another double ear infection. The left ear ruptured last night and was looking yucky when he woke up. Plus, Dr. Shrouds let me look in his special little scope thing at Trey's right nostril and it was completely closed. He said the tissue was so swollen that there is no air passing through it. To add insult to injury he also has a mid abdominal hernia that has to be fixed.

Summary:
If he keeps up with the constant ear infections he will have to get tubes and they will fix the hernia at that time. If not, the hernia will be a surgery in itself. Very sad visit for my little guy :(

Home From Florida

Trey and I are back home. My camera broke at my niece's recital yesterday and I can't upload the pictures yet :( I promise as soon as I am able I will post some!

We all had a very good time and Trey and I are very appreciative for Tim & Crys asking us to join them! We love y'all so much!!
