Oh, but to Bask in the Sunlight

As you can see Daisy really loves the warmth of the sun.
We are all so excited about the SPRING!

Spring is Here, Flowers Are Blooming!!!

Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

The Sweetest Sounds

I have never heard such Sweet Sounds in my life! The object, from what I can gather in this video, was to take each book out of the baskets. I love each sound and face he makes.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!

I like Ham!

On March 4th Trey turned 9 months old. He is now able to eat "table food". For lunch that afternoon he ate ham and loved it!
We also tried turkey but he didn't care for it a bit. I guess it was too tasteless. He is so independent when it comes to meal time. He wants to feed himself as much as possible so he really enjoys having more options now.
The other things he has really enjoyed are bananas, peas, green beans, cooked sliced carrots, Gerber meat sticks (looks like vienna sausages), and cooked little apple chunks just to name a few.
Our boy is growing so fast!

Look Who's Crawling!

So this morning Trey did his very first real crawls! I have through the day been watching him and he is getting so much better! He has been doing the "commando" crawl for a little over a week but this is the real thing!!! We are really in for it now!!!

Daddy's Artistic Shot

Trey's Daddy caught this really cool picture of Trey's "hawk" one afternoon through the sun. We love this shot!!!

Silly Mommy

One night, Trey's silly Mommy decided to spray some silly string to see if he would like it. As you can see he really did! We will have to do that again! (but this time, outside!)

Everman

February 15th we went to Trey's Aunt Sheila's. We went shopping, watched movies and had the most fun. Trey LOVES Aunt Sheila's BIG dog Rootie! He would squeal over and over when Rootie was around. The other pet he feel in love with is Everman "Evie" the love bird. When Evie would crawl all over Trey, he laughed! It was a super fun weekend!

First Park Visit

On February 9th, for Kiki's birthday, we all went to Ebenezer Park in Florence for a picnic. This was Trey's first time going to a park. As you can see he had a WONDERFUL time. His Daddy and Addie pushed him on the swings and Daddy took him down the slides and ride on the bouncy cars. The weather was beautiful and I think Kiki had a fun birthday.

Hemihypertrophy

Today Jerry, Trey and I visited the geneticist at Greenwood Genetics. It was there confirmed that Trey does have hemihypertrophy. Every one of us are asymmetrical! To have hemihypertrophy your differences must be 5% or more off.

He will be visiting the geneticist every year and will have ultra-sounds on his abdomen every 3 months until the age of 6-7. Then he will slow down to 1-2 times a year until the age of 10. This is to check for what is called Wilm's tumors (a type of cancer) We were very excited to hear that out of the 3 doctors there, only one had seen a child to actually have a tumor!!!

The doctor projected that the only issues that Trey will have are the different sizes of his body. At this time he will not need shoe lifts (praise the LORD!!) That may come later but she said the difference at this time is not enough to hurt Trey as he learns to walk.

We are very encouraged by this visit and hope to continue to hear only good news. Thanks to all of you for your encouraging words and many prayers!

Parent Child Dedication 1-27-08

"I prayed for this child and the Lord answered my prayer and gave him to me. Now I give him back to the Lord. He will belong to the Lord all his life."
1 Samuel 1:27 & 28

How blessed we are to have a God who hears and answers our prayers.

What a special day! The family picture to the right is the 3 of us at the Parent Child Dedication that our church held on January 27, 2008. We were very blessed to have almost all of our family there.
As we held our special son during the ceremony, it was amazing to know that no matter how much we love him, (which might I say is quite a lot) the Lord loves him and us a zillion times more. That is so hard to fathom! We are so excited that the 3 of us, were able to stand in front of our family and our church family and promise to bring our Trey up to know and love the Lord.
