2nd Update

Trey has a double ear infection. So now he is on an antibiotic and ear drops. This explains why he was up for 3 hours last night screaming his head off!

Trey Update

We have an apt. with the dr at 10:00 this morning. His nose is doing some quite colorful things as is his bottom. I'll let you all know what happens.

New Layout

OK, so this layout is a little different.

Reason:
One of the things I miss so much about Florence is: GRASS
Here in Elgin you have to do a total overhaul to your yard to get even SOME grass. In Florence you had to work hard NOT to have grass. I remember summer days running to my Aunt Gladys and Uncle Don's house (there back yard backed up to ours) bare footed and feeling the soft grass under my toes. Man was that ever a WONDERFUL feeling!! Oh and the smell of freshly cut grass!!!!! I could bottle it up to enjoy year around!!!
Another thing, ants... I hardly ever got bitten by an ant in Florence. Here it seems like a day doesn't go by that there are no bites to report! Difference is here it is the "Sandhills"

sand= poor soil for grass growth & ant hills!!

God did a wonderful thing when he blessed us with GRASS!!!

My Sick Sweetie

Trey's temp has gone down to 99.5!!!!! The not so good part is the bad diapers are getting worse and he won't eat or drink very much. He went from 6:30-2 before having another wet and this is the same child that normally wets every hour or less. He will drink a smidgen of milk and eat some puffs but I can't get anything else in him.

Please pray for his appetite for food and drink to increase.

***Updates***

Woo Hoo the forecast for Saturday is looking GOOD!!! Partly cloudy high of 83!!!! We will have a sprinkler for the kids so bring their suits and some shoes they can wear to get wet.!!

Last week Jerry saw Trey take 2 steps on his own!!! What a big boy! (I'm sad I didn't see it)

We went to the Dr. this morning and Trey is fevered right at 103. 102.9 to be exact. He was given a breathing treatment to help clear him up some and I could tell that helped after 3 AMAZING coughs!! Dr. Shrouds gave him some steroids at the office and a steroid prescription to fill and hopes that will improve his breathing. He checked him for pneumonia which was clear. Dr. Shrouds said that Trey’s breathing is very croupy and labored. Hopefully by Saturday he will be full force and my sweet, happy, energetic boy! He is so sad right now, he lies around like a little slug and moans/whimpers. It really is breaking my heart! I was very surprised to see that he has gained a whole pound in the last week and a half. He is up to 28.1!!! I will keep ya up to date

I Can't Get Enough of Them!!!

These are 3 of the Willow Tree figurines that I have. I absolutely love them! The first one on the left I got from a friend of mine while I was pregnant with Trey. The one in the middle I got for Christmas from my Sis-in-law and the far right was from my sweet boy for mother's day. I love how the figures really capture such sweet moments in our lives. I hope to receive more in my life time to mark new milestones.

SUMO

Ok so you can tell I don't get out much but all the girls from work are getting treated to dinner at Sumo's. For those of you who don't know, Sumo's is one of the Japanese places that cooks in front of you! I got dressed up (kinda) did my hair and make-up and I am ready for a fun night with the girls!!!! I can't wait!!!!!!

Jerry has a softball game so he has left already and Trey is already asleep. Wrennie is coming over to stay with Trey till Jerry gets home which is a HUGE help!!!! I'm so excited!

so many things...

i realized i have lots to say that i haven't told about already so here goes.....

trey's hair is sitting down now and it makes me and many people very sad. jerry on the other hand is soooooooo happy.

trey spent his first night away from jerry and i the other weekend. we were going to a wedding reception for some friends of ours who got married in jamacia (lucky dogs) and mom and dad offered to come get trey and bring him back the next day!!! jerry and i had so much fun! we were so wild and crazy, we went to a 10:30 movie and i actually was able to stay up!!! woohoo! the next day dad, jerry and trey got their pictures taken together and i still have not been able to see them. (i will tomorrow though)

this is the last week of preschool and i am so sad. it has been a super year and i have made some spectacular friends! i can not even begin to tell y'all how blessed i am in the friendship department!

trey is walking behind one of those little "push walkers" he is growing too fast. we were at aunt gladys and uncle don's this past weekend and he stood for at least a minute on his own.

i think this has me caught up for now.

So Special

I am so excited! Jerry told me last night that he took today off because he feels like he hasn't seen me enough this week. One sad glitch... he has a folder that he didn't get finished yesterday so he still had to go in this morning. Hopefully he will be home soon.

He makes me feel so special!

What a Day

Yesterday, May 6 was such a big day in the life of our son! (ours too)

He learned how to pitch a full fledged fit, shake his head "NO", and he ate watermelon for the first time (his Mama's favorite fruit). Not to mention, he would eat nothing for lunch or any of his dinner but when he saw his Mama eating some of Ms. Mel's famous Chicken casserole, he ate almost the whole plate and I'm not exaggerating!

I got him a suction plate to help him learn to start feeding himself and "HOPEFULLY" he will eat the rest of his many many baby foods that are left!

Our boy is getting so big!!!!

My Country Boy

My friend Melissa (go ahead and laugh Emily) and I were talking one day about what we would like our son's to be like. And I already knew I wanted a true county southern gentleman. Last night We all went over to her and her husband, Jerry's house and I showed her some clothes that I needed to get Trey. When she saw these shirts she said that I have already began my "molding". I can't help it :)

Flower Festival

A few weeks ago my friend Karen and I took our little ones to the farmer's market to get some flowers for the spring/summer. I was given a budget of $25 and if you know me and flowers, you know I spent the given $25 to the penny!!! But I do have to say I did very good bargain shopping for my $25! I got a beautiful geranium that I put in my PERFECT pot made for me by Ryan and Addie for my birthday a few years ago. I also got an amazing hosta, verbena, 2 pots of shasta daises, 2 grape tomatoes and a butterfly bush all for the low low price of $25. Who says you can't find good deals anymore?

Sparkleberry Country Fair

Last Saturday, Jerry, Trey and I went to the Sparkleberry Country Fair. It was so much fun! They had like 125 tractors and even did a tractor parade (one was even a pink John Deere). There was a petting zoo which included a Watusi (I didn't even know there was such a thing), camel riding, horse drawn carriages and a sheep dog which herded sheep around the grounds. Trey loves animals so he was so excited to see so many new ones! What a good day!
